Histotech - 24hours (Days)

Part time 24 hours , 1st shiftPerforms a variety of routine and specialized histological tests for pathological interpretation.Required Skills/Qualifications/Training/ExperienceMinimum of 1-3 years’ experience as a histotechnician or histotechnologist in a hospital laboratory setting. Successful completion of histology technician / technologist training programPreferred Skills/Qualifications/Training/ExperienceExcellent command of oral and written English; operation of equipment; positive interpersonal and communication skills.Educational RequirementsAS and three years of histology experience, or BA and one year of histology experience, or meet the qualification as outlined in 42 CFR 493.1449.Meet the qualifications for moderate complex testing as outlined in 42 CFR 493.1449 of the Federal Register.License/CertificationHT or HTL (ASCP); MT or MLT (ASCP); MT (HHS).Age Specific Criteria: Ability to effectively communicate to all age levels served within the scope of the position/assigned areas.Ability to Meet Job Performance Expectations: Must have the ability to perform the essential functions of the position without posing a direct threat to the health and safety of themselves or other individuals in the workplace, with or without a reasonable accommodation.Salary Range:$33.82-$52.24Sturdy Memorial Hospital is an equal employment opportunity employer.
