This is an opportunity to step into a high-impact role where you will own projects from start to finish and work directly with industry-leading railroad clients across the Southeast.We are partnering with a well-established railroad construction and maintenance contractor seeking a Rail Project Manager to lead field operations, manage crews, and drive projects to successful completion safely, on time, and within budget.What You'll DoLead the full lifecycle of railroad construction and maintenance projectsManage project budgets, schedules, and cost controls to ensure profitabilityOversee field crews, subcontractors, and equipment coordinationServe as the primary point of contact for clients and key stakeholdersEnsure compliance with FRA, OSHA, and railroad safety standardsConduct site visits to monitor progress, quality, and safetyIdentify risks early and implement solutions to avoid delays and overrunsPartner with estimating and operations teams during project planningBuild strong client relationships and support ongoing business growthWhat You Bring5+ years of project management experience in railroad, track, or heavy civil constructionStrong knowledge of rail infrastructure, maintenance-of-way, or similar environmentsExperience managing multiple crews and subcontractors in the fieldProven ability to manage budgets and control project costsWorking knowledge of FRA regulations and safety complianceAbility to travel regionally to job sites as neededStrong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skillsNice to HaveExperience working with Class I or short-line railroadsPMP certificationBackground in environmental or infrastructure-related projectsWhat's In It for YouCompetitive base salary: $65,000 – $85,000 (based on experience)Performance-based bonus opportunitiesCompany vehicle or vehicle allowanceComprehensive benefits: medical, dental, vision401(k) with company matchPaid time off
