The Laborer is also responsible for removing old roofing materials before making repairs to the structure and applying new roofing materials.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Handling and installing roofing componentsInspect and test roof for leaksSuggest necessary repairsRepair leaks and other roof problemsBe attentive to clients, act professionally while on the job, and clean up thoroughly once the project is completeFollow all safety protocolsOTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:Performs other work-duties as assignedPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this positionDuties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:High school diploma or equivalent preferredAt least 1 year of professional roofing or construction experience preferred KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:Proficient with industry equipment and hand toolsAbility to lift between 40-50 poundsAbility to work outside WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:Regularly wear gloves, hard hats, safety goggles, or ear plugs, depending on the jobAre sometimes exposed to very hot or very cold temperatures when working outdoorsAble to lift 40-50 poundsClimb a ladder safelyUsually work close to others, typically within a few feet.The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
