Lead Line Cook

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation, excellent knife skills, and a strong background in fine dining and food safety. As a Lead Line Cook, you will oversee daily kitchen operations, ensure high-quality meal preparation, and support the culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality. Lead and supervise kitchen staff during shifts, providing guidance on food preparation and presentation. Oversee food handling procedures to maintain safety and sanitation standards in compliance with health regulations. Assist with menu planning, ingredient sourcing, and portion control to optimize kitchen efficiency. Ensure all dishes are prepared in a timely manner to meet service deadlines. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including equipment cleaning and stock rotation. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to coordinate meal service and address special dietary needs. Train new team members on food preparation techniques, safety protocols, and restaurant policies. Support catering events or special functions as needed, ensuring quality standards are met. Requirements Proven experience in food industry roles such as dietary aide, culinary assistant, or line cook; fine dining experience is preferred. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, menu planning, and food safety regulations. Excellent knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation and cooking methods. Experience with food handling, catering, serving, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness. Background in restaurant or kitchen environments with demonstrated leadership abilities as a lead or supervisor. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Knowledge of dietary department practices is a plus. Must have relevant culinary or kitchen experience along with good communication skills.
