Coding Teacher (Python / Java / C++) – Part-TimeCheng Shi Education – Syosset, NY Cheng Shi Education is expanding and is looking for passionate and knowledgeable Coding Teachers to join our growing STEM education team for the 2026–2027 school year. Our students range from Grades 3–12, with courses including Python, Java, C++, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, and competitive programming (USACO). Position Part-Time Coding Teacher Subjects: Python Java C++ Artificial Intelligence (AI) or Machine Learning experience is a strong plus. Employment Period September 2026 – May 2027 Schedule Flexible Part-Time Hours Weekday evening classes Weekend classes (Saturday and/or Sunday) Schedules will be assigned based on teacher availability and class enrollment. Responsibilities Teach programming classes to elementary, middle, and high school students. Prepare engaging, hands-on coding lessons. Help students develop strong programming, computational thinking, and problem-solving skills. Monitor student progress and communicate with parents when needed. Create a positive, supportive, and professional learning environment. Qualifications Strong programming experience in Python, Java, or C++. Teaching or tutoring experience is preferred. Experience working with children or teenagers is highly desirable. Excellent communication and classroom management skills. Reliable, enthusiastic, and passionate about education. Experience with Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, or competitive programming is highly desirable. Compensation Competitive hourly pay based on experience and qualifications.
