The organization is dedicated to providing reliable and professional imaging equipment support both locally and nationally when needed.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site Bench Technician role located in Santee, CA. The Bench Technician will be responsible for repairing, testing, and maintaining diagnostic imaging equipment components. Daily tasks include soldering, using hand tools, troubleshooting technical issues, providing technical support, and operating test equipment to ensure proper functionality. The role will require attention to detail, a hands-on problem-solving approach, and close adherence to safety protocols.QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredElectronics Certificate, or Associate Degree in electronics requiredProficiency in Soldering, micro-soldering or PCB repair, and using Hand Tools for component repair and maintenanceAbility to perform Troubleshooting and diagnose technical issues effectivelyFamiliarity with Technical Support processes, including assisting colleagues or clients with equipment inquiriesExperience operating Test Equipment for component testing and validationStrong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a commitment to safety standardsAbility to work on-site and collaborate in a team-oriented environmentRelevant certifications or experience in electronics or imaging equipment repair is a plusProven experience as a service technician or electronics bench technician working with electronic equipment repair and maintenance.Strong familiarity with schematics, technical manuals, and proficiency with diagnostic tools, multimeters, oscilloscopes, and soldering equipmentKnowledge of computer hardware components, networking systems, and low voltage electrical systems.Mechanical aptitude with the ability to use hand tools effectively for disassembly and reassembly tasks.Prior experience working with service procedures involving equipment repair in a fast-paced setting is highly desirable.Duties Conduct maintenance and calibration of electronic equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.Utilize hand tools and mechanical knowledge to disassemble, inspect, and reassemble complex electronic assemblies, ensure compliance with safety standards and proper handling of electronic components (ESD precautions)Follow detailed service procedures and schematics to identify faults in computer hardware, low voltage systems, and other electronic components.Support field service operations by preparing equipment for deployment or return, ensuring all repairs meet quality standards.Maintain accurate records of work performed, repair actions, parts used, test results, in service logs for accountability and future reference.Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electronic devices and computer systems (desktops, laptops, peripherals, and related equipment)Perform component-level repairs including soldering, desoldering, and replacement of faulty partsTest and verify functionality of repaired equipment using appropriate tools and softwareRead and interpret schematics, diagrams, and technical manualsInstall, configure, and update hardware components and firmwareAssist in inventory management of parts and toolsCommunicate repair status and technical findings clearly to supervisors or customers
