General/Lead Carpenter Technician
Applicant must be proficient in general carpentry. Experience in taping and texturing drywall, and painting is a bonus! Applicant must have strong working knowledge of job site safety as well as the ability to work as a team member. Applicant must have the skill level to work without direct supervision. Pay will be determined based upon ability.
Responsibilities
Customer Communication
Management of other Technicians
Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to fully grasp requirements
Take measurements and calculate the size and amount of material needed
Build window frames, doors, staircases and frame buildings by using raw materials or pre-constructed items
Lay out flooring, roofing or drywall ensuring they are leveled and compatible
Assemble furniture, cabinets, shelves and other items and install them where designated
Inspect places and conduct repairs or maintenance
Skills
Proven experience as carpenter
Hands-on experience in working with carpentry materials
Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction
Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, hammers, rulers etc.)
Ability to read technical documents and drawings
Willingness to follow safety guidelines at all times
Good understanding of basic math
Good physical condition and endurance
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 50 per week
