Job DetailsFusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse for a 13 week travel assignment in Hawthorne, NY. As a member of our team, you'll have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of patients while enjoying competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and the support of a dedicated clinical team.Required Qualifications:One year of recent experience as an LPNValid LPN license in compliance with state regulationsCurrent BLS (AHA/ARC) or CPR certificationPreferred Qualifications:* Other certifications may be required depending on facility requirementsSummary:A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides hands-on nursing care to residents and/or patients, ensuring their medical and daily living needs are met with compassion and efficiency. LPNs monitor patient conditions, administer medications, assist with treatments, and collaborate with the healthcare team to promote residents' overall health and well-being.Essential Work Functions:Provide bedside care to patients and assist with personal hygiene and activities of daily livingAssist with wound care, catheter management, and other skilled nursing proceduresAdminister prescribed medications and treatments and treatments following facility policies, and state nursing regulationsDocument care provided and resident status accurately and in a timely mannerCollaborate with RNs, CNAs, and healthcare providers to develop and follow individualized care plansEducate residents and families about medications, treatments, and disease managementSupport residents' emotional well-being, providing compassionate care and meaningful interactionsSupervise CNAs and other support staff, delegating tasks appropriatelyRecognize and report changes in patient condition to RNs and healthcare provider teamRespond to emergencies and implement appropriate interventions within the LPN scope of practicePerform other duties as assigned within the scope of practiceRequired Essential Skills:Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skillsThe ability to read, write, & communicate in the English language is requiredAbility to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skillsPhysical Abilities - Remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), pushing, pulling, bendingInterpersonal Skills - To work effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and ancillary) to present a positive attitude and professionalismTechnical/Motor Skills - Ability to grasp, fine manipulation, pushing/pulling and able to move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment.Mental Requirements - Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public, customers, and meeting deadlines under pressure. Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally as well as working without assistance from other personnel.
