You'll work in a collaborative clinical environment that primarily focuses on:Center-based servicesEarly learners (ages 2 - 7)Strong clinical, administrative, and leadership supportWhat You'll Be DoingConduct speech therapy services with clients aged 2-7 y/oDevelop individualized treatment plans based on clients’ goals and needsHelp clients improve speech, language, communication, and swallowing disordersMaintain timely and accurate client records and reportsCollaborate with other healthcare and behavioral professionals to coordinate client careEducate families on strategies for managing conditions and maximizing independenceWho This Role Is Ideal ForAn SLP who prefers center-based workA clinician who enjoys working with early learnersAn enthusiastic personality that enjoys engaging with young childrenQualificationsConnecticut State Speech and Language Pathology LicenseExperience working with childrenStrong communication, organization, and leadership skillsFluent in English; additional opportunities for candidates with other language fluencyPhysical RequirementsMust be able to sit and stand on the floor throughout the day, as well as bend, kneel, or squat to remain at eye level with clients. Capable of prolonged periods of standing and sitting throughout the day. Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds at a time. Capable of managing unpredictable and frequent aggressive and/or physically demanding behaviors and executing emergency intervention protocols in accordance with clinical training.
