Position Title: Program Coordinator – Leadership Center (Follett Student Leadership Center); Posting Number: S06650P. Location: Arlington, Texas. Position Status: Full-time. Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (one day per week remote work available).Salary: Salary is commensurate based on qualifications and relevant experience up to $51,000. Pay Basis: Bi-weekly.Job SummaryThe Student Development Specialist III for the Follett Student Leadership Center will assist in the management, supervision, and day‐to‐day operation of Freshman Leaders on Campus, support Leadership Center workshop initiatives, and participate in ongoing campus‐wide leadership development programming. The Follett Student Leadership Center provides various leadership education and development programs to a dynamic campus community.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesSupervise and advise Freshman Leaders on Campus, the premiere leadership program for first‐year students on campus. This includes supervision of 2 (19 hour per week) student employees, advising the student executive board, planning and managing all program curriculum, 4-6 signature events per year, weekly meetings, and maintaining an approximately $10,000 budget.Present leadership workshops for student organizations, groups, and departments throughout the year. Support with administration of our T.E.A.M. online certification.Assist in the implementation of current and new leadership development programs focused on the student body at-large.Serve as a departmental liaison to other departments on campus to consult and incorporate leadership education into existing work on campus.Represent the Leadership Center on various campus and community projects and committees.Assist in the day‐to‐day operations of the Leadership Center and participate in large departmental events such as the Fall Leadership Retreat, signature leadership programs, and Leadership Recognition Ceremony.Perform other duties assigned.Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.Experience planning, implementing, and evaluating student programs.Experience with event management and event production.Licenses: Class "C" Operator's Driver's License. Applicant selected must provide a current three‐year Driving Record from the current state of residence.Preferred QualificationsMaster's Degree in higher education, student personnel, or a related field.Demonstrated knowledge of leadership theory, leadership education programming, budget planning, program management, and student advising techniques.Effective organizational skills, including ability to plan for future events and to execute in a timely manner.Must be able to manage multiple projects at one time.Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesAbility to utilize independent thinking, judgment, and decision‐making skills.Experience working with a varied population.Excellent writing and public speaking skills.Computer literacy with knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.Solid assessment experience.Solid problem‐solving and critical thinking skills.Must be able to work independently.Other RequirementsWorkplace and Eligibility Conditions: Benefits Eligible – Yes.
