Commercial HVAC Service Technician

Job Description Our client is seeking a skilled Commercial HVAC Service Technician to join their team, servicing clients throughout the tri-state area. This role focuses on the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of a wide range of commercial HVAC systems and requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering outstanding service.With over 35 years of industry experience, our client has partnered with commercial, industrial, retail, and educational organizations of all sizes—from Fortune 500 companies to growing businesses—providing trusted heating and air conditioning solutions across the region.Job DutiesUse a variety of hand tools and follow blueprints, wiring/piping diagrams, or engineering specifications to diagnose and repair unitsOperate refrigerant recovery equipment, vacuum pumps, charging equipment, and service gaugesApply troubleshooting skills to the component levelInspect systems to verify compliance with plans and specificationsPerform routine maintenance and operation of HVAC systems and related equipment to ensure safe and effective facility operationMaintain quality of work, performance, and productivity standardsDocument work by completing paperwork for each jobWork varying schedules and shifts as required by business needsApply knowledge of VAV/VVT HVAC systems (preferred)Demonstrate competent knowledge of building controls, VRF, WSHP, cooling towers, package units, split systems, etc.Employment Requirements3+ years of commercial HVAC service experienceHigh School diploma or GEDTechnical school education preferredEPA certification requiredValid driver's licenseMust pass drug test and background checkOSHA certification a plus (not required)Ability to perform physically demanding tasks: climbing, carrying 50 lbs+, bending, reaching, kneeling, crawling, push/pull, working at heights and in confined spacesYou should be proficient in:HVACMachines & technologies you'll use:HVAC Systems
