Frances Warde House Manager

In Her Presence (IHP) is a small, Portland, Maine-based organization that supports immigrant families by cultivating connections, nurturing relationships, and providing learning opportunities essential for successful integration. We care deeply for our clients and work hard as a team to ensure their success. In Her Presence (IHP) manages Frances Warde House, currently a home for pregnant immigrant women who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. IHP provides multicultural social-emotional support for residents and connects them to essential services and manages all daily operations of the facility. This transitional house shelters up to 15 adults, 15 infants and 10 children. As House Manager, you will hold care and respect in the highest regard. You will demonstrate that you are a high-level leader by making sure the Frances Warde house is operating effectively and within budget, and that residents receive high-quality care and services in a clean, safe, and supportive environment. You will work with many people in different roles, supervising several and collaborating with many others. Oversight of the entire facility, the staff, and the resident intake process is a major part of the role. We know education and experience with maternal health and/or social work will be helpful, and there must be a deep understanding of the impact of trauma, toxic stress and social determinants on health and well-being. This position reports to the Chief Impact Officer.
