Join a team that values safety, integrity, and continuous improvement.What You’ll DoSafely and efficiently operate equipment and instruments in a laboratory environment that requires PPE to preform various types of material testing.What We’re Looking ForMaintain safe and clean work environmentEffectively and efficiently communicate with employees and management to meet Safely and consistently operate process and mechanical equipment such as mills, presses, tensiometers, rheometers and other equipment as requiredEffectively utilize measuring tools such as scale, calipers, rulers and other tools as requiredAdhere to company policies, standard work procedures and job safety standards, including required PPESupport preventative maintenance program efforts Ability to prepare different test specimens used in the approval and evaluation processPreparation and testing of production and developmental materialsAssess and ensure materials meet specifications and requirements, where applicableOrganize and record testing data to prepare written reports, graphs and charts Perform standard rubber aging, and environmental physical property testing and other specific laboratory work instructions and procedures Recognizes abnormalities in lab resultsAssists to improve consistency of test resultsSupport root cause investigations and corrective action activities as delegatedOther RequirementsSupport compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental policiesEffectively work in a teamwork environment with internal and external resourcesSupport internal, external, and quality auditsEffective time management and organizational skillsPerform other related duties as assigned by supervisorAbility to function independently with minimal supervision while meeting deadlinesAssist in providing on the job training for general lab procedures and basic equipment operationBasic oral and written communication Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plusBasic computer skills Basic arithmetic and mechanical skillsRequired Education And ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalentMinimum 2 years laboratory experience or 4 years rubber manufacturing experiencePhysical DemandsMust be able to complete work needing hand dexterity, standing, sitting, bending, kneeling, pushing, pulling, reaching, squatting, and climbingAble to consistently lift and push up to 50 poundsWork EnvironmentThis job operates in a manufacturing environment, around machinery, industrial chemicals. This role routinely uses tools and other such equipment during the course of the job duties.
