Forklift Technician

Job DescriptionTaylor Staffing is looking for a certified forklift technician/repair technician. Previous experience in equipment maintenance required.Duties And ResponsibilitiesRepair and replace damaged or worn partsDismantle and reassemble heavy to medium equipment using hoists, hand tools, and power toolsOperate and inspect machines or heavy equipment to diagnose defectsTest mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers’ specificationsClean, lubricate, and perform other routine maintenance work on equipmentRead and understand operating manuals, blueprints, and technical drawingsDiagnose faults or malfunctions to determine required repairs, using engine diagnostic equipment such as computerized test equipment and calibration devicesResearch, order and maintain parts inventory for service and repairsRepair, rewire and troubleshoot electrical systemsExamine parts for damage or excessive wear, using micrometers and gaugesExamine and repair hydraulic systemExamine and repair brake systems on all equipmentClean parts by spraying them with grease solvent or immersing them in tanks of solventProjects as assigned by ManagementQualificationsEducation/ExperienceHigh School DiplomaTechnical college diploma or certificationAt least 1-year experience in related mechanical fieldCertificationValid Driver License, with good driving recordForklift Operators License/CertificationCompany DescriptionTaylor Staffing is a full service generalized staffing service specializing in light industrial, manufacturing, and clerical positions in the United States.
