Accountant I

Job Summary/Objective The Accountant will be responsible to compile and classify financial information, prepare entries to accounts and document business transactions. The position will focus on accounting work associated with accounts receivable, project cost accounting, revenue recognition, vendor recognition. Essential Job Functions Prepare billing statements for customers per according to project terms. Vendor Deposit/OEM Equipment Cost Reconciliation. Determine Project Costing and WIP Reconciliation (Work In Progress). Receive payments for materials and properly record transaction. Follow up with outstanding accounts over 30 days to verify payment schedule. Prepare project budget forecasting and analysis. Update Project Closings in EPICOR according to project terms. Track various costs and revenue budgets for internal “Percentage of Completion Schedule”. Prepare analysis of accounts and produce monthly reports. Reconcile and file company sales tax returns according to state and federal law requirements. Prepare company month end close processes within required deadline. Other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications: 2 years of Accounting experience preferred Working knowledge of MS Office Suite with emphasis on Excel, EPICOR or other ERP software.
