Senior RF Mechanical Engineer

Job SummaryThis position is focused on the mechanical design, development, and manufacturing of stationary and mobile antenna systems and related equipment.Essential Job Duties And ResponsibilitiesWork as part of multiple integrated product teams. In some cases, will be lead mechanical engineer on a team, while in others, will be in a support and/or advisory rolePerform hands-on design and analysis, and mentor junior engineersPrepare and present design and analysis material during internal and customer design reviewsPrepare detailed product manufacturing documentation such as test procedures and assembly instructionsSupport component and antenna system level environmental testingInterface with ThinKom production personnel and outside suppliers during manufacturing phase of programsSupport business development activities by providing input for proposalsSkills And/or Experience NeededBS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering5+ years of experience in the field of Mechanical Engineering and product design and developmentExperienced in designing for producibility, reliability, and ease of assembly and maintenanceExperienced in the design and analysis of positioner drive systems is preferredKnowledge in the areas of materials, structural and thermal analysis, dynamics, vibration and mechanical shock, heat transfer, finite element analysis, and composite structuresKnowledge of fabrication techniques such as machining, forming, casting, injection molding, and additive manufacturingKnowledge of fasteners, adhesives, coatings, and related industry specificationsSolid modeling, engineering drawings, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
