This is an opportunity to support the People team at a fast-growing climate tech startup and learn how People Ops functions behind the scenes. You will gain exposure to onboarding, employee experience, HR systems, and core People programs, and support aspects of the hiring process-while developing strong management, communication, and problem-solving skills.Pay rate: $25 per hour, plus up to $400 in travel reimbursement for those relocating from outside of the Bay Area.What You'll Do HereAssist with onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure a positive and organized employee experienceSupport the People team in maintaining and improving internal documentation and resources (e.g., Notion, policies, guides)Research and synthesize insights to support People programs such as engagement, learning and development, and job architectureOwn 1-2 scoped summer projects focused on process improvement based on team prioritiesProvide general team support (e.g., scheduling, coordination, and operational or office-related tasks) to enable the company to run efficientlyJump on ad-hoc tasks as needed-this may include helping with day-today operational needs in a start-up environmentCommunicate and collaborate openly with team members across the companyYour Skills and Abilities IncludeAll of your work experience is interesting to us-please include part time jobs, summer jobs, work/study, entrepreneurial endeavors, and volunteer work on your resume.Current college student with prior internship and/or leadership experienceInterest in exploring a career in People/HR; open to learning different areas within People OperationsStrong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlinesClear and thoughtful communicator with attention to detailComfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment and navigating ambiguityExperience with Notion, Slack and G Suite is a plus, but not required-ability to learn new tools quickly is keyInterest in climate tech and purpose-driven organizations
