Position SummaryHillenbrand is looking for a Senior Manager, Global Transportation, Process and Tools to join our team remotely. As a Senior Manager, Global Transportation, Process and Tools, you will be responsible for optimizing and overseeing the end-to end global transportation and logistics operations of our organization. Leveraging your extensive experience in transportation management, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic initiative to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure seamless transportation across international borders. You will lead and manage the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of global transportation processes and tools.Work You’ll DoStrategic Planning and Execution: Develop and implement global transportation strategies to improve efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and customer satisfaction.Supplier Management: Establish strong relationships with global transportation service providers, negotiate contracts, and ensure optimal terms.Network Optimization: Lead initiatives to optimize the global transportation network, aligning strategies with overall supply chain goals.Technology Integration: Implement transportation management systems and leverage data analytics for informed decision-making.Compliance and Regulatory Management: Ensure compliance with international transportation regulations and adjust to changes in global trade regulations.Performance Metrics and Reporting: Develop KPIs to measure effectiveness of transportation processes and provide insights for improvement.Risk Management: Implement risk mitigation strategies for global transportation operations and address potential supply chain disruptions.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their transportation needs and ensure an integrated approach to supply chain management.Budget Management: Develop and manage the transportation budget, identifying opportunities for cost savings without compromising service levels.Continuous Improvement: Drive a culture of continuous improvement within the transportation function, implementing best practices to enhance operational efficiency.TeamThe Senior Manager, Global Transportation, Process and Tools is part of the Global Supply Management (GSM) team but works closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that transportation operations are efficient, effective, and aligned with Hillenbrand’s strategic objectives.Basic QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field7-10+ years of progressive experience in global transportation and logistics management, with a focus on process improvement and tool implementationStrong knowledge of transportation management systems and other toolsExperience working with international transportation regulations, customs procedures, and trade complianceWillingness to travel up to 20%Preferred QualificationsMaster’s degree preferredStrong negotiation and project management skillsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsWho We AreHillenbrand (NYSE: HI) is a global industrial company that provides highly-engineered, mission-critical processing equipment and solutions to customers in over 100 countries around the world.
