Learn more about our services at kierwright.com.SummaryThe Billing Specialist’s primary job responsibility is to handle company invoicing, collections and communicating with the manager and other team members, as necessary. This position requires a detail-oriented individual, with a interest in accounting; a team player who can communicate effectively, manage multiple concurrent initiatives, and thrive in a deadline driven environment.ResponsibilitiesFollow up on discrepancies in proposals, contracts, billing instructions, invoices, and vendor invoice vs contractsManage preparing, crediting, revising, and sending monthly invoices/billing packagesSet up, use, and maintain online billing accounts for companyManage collectionsResearch and resolve billing and payment discrepanciesCreate and maintain projects in system, Smartsheets, and project foldersAccount ReconciliationAdd change orders to Microsoft Dynamics SLProvide job histories when requested by coordinators, principals, or project managersProvide job contract breakdowns when requestedProvide help and support to all accounting staffOther duties as assignedEducation/ExperienceHigh School diploma (associate degree plus)Entry level position in accountingGeneral knowledge of computers, Microsoft Office, Adobe, Internet, etc. Experience with Microsoft Dynamic SL, Smartsheets and Excel a plus. Organized, punctual and reliable. Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail. Physical RequirementsAbility to sit for extended periods of time at a desk and work on a computer. Ability to occasionally stand, walk, reach, bend, or lift objects up to 15 pounds (e.g., files, office supplies). Manual dexterity to operate standard office equipment, including computers, phones, printers, and scanners. Visual ability to read documents, spreadsheets, and computer screens. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in person, over the phone, and via digital platforms. Ability to occasionally travel to other offices (e.g., internal meetings or trainings).
