Job Title: On-Site Construction Supervisor
Job Summary: The On-Site Construction Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations on the construction site, ensuring that projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. This role involves coordinating labor, materials, and equipment while maintaining compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise Operations: Oversee all construction activities on-site, ensuring compliance with project specifications and timelines.
Team Management: Direct and manage construction workers and subcontractors, providing guidance and support as needed.
Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment, conducting regular safety meetings and inspections.
Quality Control: Monitor work quality to ensure it meets project standards and specifications, addressing any issues promptly.
Scheduling: Develop and manage project schedules, coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure timely completion of tasks.
Communication: This person will report directly to the owner of the company. And will be responsible for managing communication between subcontractors and company leadership. Daily communication via email, calendar and text is critical in this position. Experience with project management software is a plus.
Problem Solving: Identify and address any challenges or delays that arise on-site, implementing solutions to keep the project on track.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of daily activities, progress reports, and any incidents or changes on-site.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; degree in construction management or related field preferred.
Proven experience in construction supervision or management.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
OSHA certification is a plus.
Working Conditions: This position requires working outdoors in various weather conditions and may involve lifting and carrying materials. The supervisor must be comfortable with potential hazards associated with construction sites.
