Cali Botanicals is excited to welcome a Retail Sales Associate to our growing crew at our Folsom location.We are looking for someone to work weekends only, Friday through Sunday. We’re a fast-moving, values-driven company, and we’re looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual to join us. This role starts as part-time with the opportunity, but can change depending on job performance. You’ll earn tips ranging from $50 to $100 weekly based on your knack for delivering top-notch customer service. We’re seeking someone who’s punctual, hard-working, positive, open to feedback, and eager to grow. Want to stand out? Compensation: $17/hr + Tips Responsibilities Package products with precision, weighing and preparing stock and custom orders by hand. Operate equipment like sealers and scales(training provided!). Apply labels and stickers with a keen eye for detail. Keep your workspace organized—cleaning, restocking, and managing waste prep. Greet customers with a warm smile and help them find exactly what they’re looking for. Share your knowledge of our awesome botanical products to guide customers in their choices. Ring up sales accurately using our point-of-sale system and handle cash, card, and digital payments like a pro. Keep the store looking fresh—arrange displays, restock shelves, and make sure everything’s neat and inviting. Answer customer questions about products, promotions, or store policies with confidence and friendliness. Upsell and suggest add-ons that complement their purchases (because who doesn’t love a great pairing?). Process returns or exchanges smoothly, keeping customer satisfaction front and center. Team up with your coworkers to hit sales goals and create a fun, welcoming vibe in the store. Keep an eye on inventory levels and let the team know when it’s time to restock popular items. Assist with opening or closing duties, like tidying up, securing the shop, and prepping for the next day. Qualifications Ability to lift up to 60 lbs of packaging materials and goods. A friendly, upbeat attitude—bonus points if you’re the kind of person who can make anyone feel welcome! Comfort chatting with customers, answering questions, and building trust (strong verbal and written communication skills are a must). Some know-how about kratom—whether it’s strains, effects, or usage basics—or a willingness to learn fast and become our in-store expert. Previous retail or customer service experience (preferred, but if you’ve got the energy and drive, we’ll teach you the ropes!). Basic math skills for handling transactions, giving change, and tracking sales. Tech-savvy enough to use an Apple device or POS system for clocking in, ringing up sales, and keeping things running smoothly. A team player who’s excited to collaborate with our crew and help us grow. Super punctual with a rock-solid attendance record—our customers count on you being here! A curious, open mind—kratom’s a unique product, and we love folks who are eager to learn, adapt, and share ideas in our freethinking environment.
