Resident Engineer - Wire Harness Location: Austin, TX Duration: 6-month contract (W2) Pay Rate: $46.00/hrImportant RequirementWire harness experience is required. Candidates without this experience will not be considered. Position Overview The Resident Engineer - Wire Harness will serve as the primary liaison between the customer plant and the manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for resolving quality concerns, supporting containment activities, and ensuring effective communication between the customer and internal teams.Key ResponsibilitiesAct as the on-site liaison between the customer plant and internal manufacturing teamsPerform first-level analysis of non-conforming materials and quality issuesVerify suspect product and maintain product test equipmentCoordinate and execute initial 24-hour containment activities and escalate as neededExpedite non-conforming material back to the manufacturing facility (same-day turnaround)Enter and manage data within the Incident Reporting System (IRS)Provide technical support and system knowledge to internal and external stakeholdersServe as a key member of response and problem-resolution teamsDevelop and maintain strong customer relationships within the plantMonitor and support customer metrics, including Return Parts Per Million (PPM) ratesCoordinate special event activities and support continuous improvement effortsPrepare and submit weekly status/trip reports Required QualificationsExperience: 6-10+ years of related engineering or manufacturing experienceTechnical Skills: Strong experience with wire harness products/components (required)Experience in quality analysis, containment, and problem resolutionProficiency with computer applications, including Excel, Word, and email systemsEducation: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field Key CompetenciesStrong communication and interpersonal skillsHighly organized with attention to detailAbility to work independently in a customer-facing environmentProblem-solving mindset with the ability to perform root cause analysis Make the most of your experience!Apply now!For this opportunity, the successful candidate will be directly employed by Bartech Staffing as a W2 employee while providing services to our client, who is looking for people who are eligible to work in the US and can start immediately. #ImpADesired Skills and ExperienceRequired Qualifications * Experience: ○ 6-10+ years of related engineering or manufacturing experience * Technical Skills: ○ Strong experience with wire harness products/components (required) ○ Experience in quality analysis, containment, and problem resolution ○ Proficiency with computer applications, including Excel, Word, and email systems * Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related fieldImpellam Group and its brands are equal-opportunity employers committed to diversity and inclusion.
