The Boeing Company has an exciting opportunity for an Associate Design & Analysis Engineer to become part of Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT & E) Vehicle Management System (VMS) team in Berkeley, MO or Hazelwood, MO.
You will enable the VMS organization to continue to advance its technologies in support of our Phantom Works and Fixed‑Wing programs. The team is responsible for developing integration test assets, real‑time software test environments, subsystem/system testing, and evaluating system performance in simulation lab environment. Simulation and modeling are utilized to assist in requirements development, software and hardware development, and equipment verification and validation.
Position Responsibilities
Develop electrical schematics and designs for cabling, test hardware, and/or test stations
Select components for hardware designs and support the procurement and fabrication of hardware designs
Integrate hardware systems and/or software together in a test setting
Operate complex test stations, electronic test equipment, and test software
Test and validate to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements
Solve problems concerning fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non‑US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
1+ years of experience testing and troubleshooting electronics and electrical systems
Experience interpreting technical requirements to create designs and/or documents
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)
3 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
1+ years of experience conducting component, sub‑system, system or system‑of‑systems tests
1+ years analyzing engineering designs to define testing requirements
Experience preparing test plans, schedules and documentation
Experience with MATLAB, Simulink, and/or real‑time operating systems
Experience with software programming and creating scripts for automated testing
Experience with Flight Controls or Vehicle Management Systems
Pay & Benefits
At Boeing, we strive to deliver a Total Rewards package that will attract, engage, and retain the top talent. Elements of the Total Rewards package include competitive base pay and variable compensation opportunities. Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Summary pay range: $88,400 - $119,600.
