Electrical Foreman

General Job DescriptionKEP a division of IES Residential is currently seeking an Electrical Foreman in the Merrillville, IN area.The Electrical Foreman plays a pivotal role in the growth and development of the company. A successful foreman supervises and coordinates the activities of craft workers engaged in the layout, installation, and repair of wiring, electrical fixtures, apparatus, and control equipment. The Foreman continually motivates their crew in taking ownership and pride in achieving the overall goals of the company.Key ResponsibilitiesOversees projects in multi-family homesSupervise and coordinate activities of assigned craft workers in accordance with the engineers’ specifications and the National Electric CodeInterpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders as needed for area of supervisionMaintains working relationship with subcontractors, division managers, and other skilled tradesAnalyzes and resolves work problemsMaintains knowledge of and enforces company safety rules and proceduresQuickly corrects any potential hazard or promptly reports the hazard to the responsible personAssess material, equipment, and labor needed to complete assigned tasks and ensure all items required are ordered and at the job site in compliance with the scheduled requirementsCommunicate with others, including taking direction from a supervisor and able to give direction in a way that is understoodMinimum EducationNoneMinimum Years Of Experience4-6QualificationsSpecific QualificationsAt least 2 years’ experience as an Electrical Foreman in Multi-Family areaPossess knowledge of the current National Electric CodeA valid driver’s licenseMust be able to pass and comply with all safety training, background check and drug testing requirementsAbility to read and accurately interpret construction electrical drawingsDemonstrates safe work habits and proper care for tools and equipmentLicense RequiredYesJob LocationsUS-IN-MerrillvilleCompany OverviewIES Residential, Inc. is one of the nation's largest and most respected electrical, plumbing, HVAC, solar, and cable solutions providers for single-family homes and multi-family complexes since 1973.
