Business Services Representative

Position: Business Services Representative Dept.: Business Services Location: Glencoe, MN Remote Work: No Status: Full Time Hours Per Pay Period: 72 or 80 Hours Schedule: Monday-Friday Hours: Candidate choice of hours between 7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. The Business Services Representative is responsible for processing all inpatient and outpatient claims both electronically and by paper claim submission. They are responsible for updating insurance information as it changes, assuring that the claim gets submitted to the appropriate insurance company in a timely manner. This role is responsible for following up on insurance denials and rejections, will respond to internal and external questions regarding outstanding amounts due, and will verify accuracy and completeness of charges processed. The Representative must be capable of working with patients and third-party organizations in a friendly, professional manner. Qualifications: High school graduate or equivalent required. Medical Secretarial or Business-related degree. Health care revenue cycle experience preferred. Ability to understand and interpret continually changing third party processing guidelines. Proficient in Windows-based computer systems or related software required. Possess a strong working knowledge of the internet is imperative. Current Excellian (Epic) EMR (electronic medical record) experience beneficial. Strong time management and organization skills required. Ability to prioritize responsibilities and work assignments while working autonomously. Exhibits excellent interpersonal skills, strong verbal, and written communication skillset. Attention to detail is essential. Ability to act with tact and professionalism. Possess initiative, good judgment, a positive attitude and responsibility for decision making. Actively supports GRH mission, quality improvement goals and behavioral standards is expected. Ability to operate a variety of office equipment. Possess a thorough understanding of HIPAA Rules and regulations, noting patient privacy must always be upheld. Compensation and Benefits: Compensation decisions are made based off of several factors including relevant work experience, education, certification and licensure as well as internal equity. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at the top of their range. Wage Range: $21.77 - $30.48/ Hour Wages are just one part of our employee compensation package.
