We are seeking a dynamic and organized Banquet Event Captain to lead our events team at both our Morgan's on Fulton event space and in Avli Restaurants, ensuring flawless execution of every event. Job Summary: The Banquet Event Captain is responsible for the overall planning, execution, and coordination of all banquet events. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, strong leadership abilities, ability to multitask, and a keen attention to detail. Responsibilities: Event Management: Oversee all aspects of event planning and execution, from initial setup to tear-down. Coordinate with clients, internal teams, and external vendors to ensure seamless operations. Team Leadership: Supervise and manage event staff, assigning tasks, providing clear instructions, and fostering a positive team environment. Guest Satisfaction: Build strong relationships with clients and guests, addressing their needs promptly and professionally. Ensure exceptional guest experiences throughout the event. Operations: Oversee and maintain inventory, manage cash handling, and adhere to company policies and procedures. Administrative Duties: Complete necessary paperwork, data entry including tip sheets, attend meetings, assist with monthly beverage inventory, send amended linen orders, and contribute to ongoing operational projects and improvements. Qualifications: Proven experience as a Banquet Event Captain or in a similar role. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering exceptional service. Ability to work flexible hours, including late weekend evenings (1:00 AM - 2:00 AM), weekends, early morning weekday and holidays. Saturday PM availability is required.
