Geotechnical Laboratory Technician

Geotechnical Laboratory Technician Location: Phoenix, AZ Tower Engineering Professionals is seeking a full-time Geotech Laboratory Technician in our Phoenix, AZ office. As a Lab Tech, you will serve as an integral member of our Geotechnical team. While your job duties may fluctuate day to day, here are some areas we expect to see you proficient in: Performing laboratory tests on soils and construction materials USCS visual/manual classification Moisture Content Atterberg Limits Sieve Analysis Unconfined Compressive Strength Interpreting test data Preparing reports of test data Keeping the laboratory in compliance with QA/QC initiatives Calibrating laboratory equipment and maintaining calibration schedule and records Assisting with field work and other laboratory functions when needed Compiling test results, data input, and data processing Requirements: Bachelors or Associates degree in a STEM curriculum (Preferable Geology/Geotech, Civil Engineering) 0 – 2 years of experience Occasionally carry up to 40lbs to 50lbs Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
