SCADA Automation Technician

This position will include remote work and in person work depending on need.Install, configure, and maintain SCADA systems and related hardware/software.Monitor system performance and conduct routine inspections to ensure optimal operation.Troubleshoot and resolve issues with SCADA, PLC, and HMI systems.Collaborate with engineers and operators to integrate new devices and systems.Maintain accurate documentation including system diagrams, procedures, and logs.Perform system upgrades and implement enhancements as needed.Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.Provide training and technical support to operations staff on SCADA system usage.Skills and Qualifications:Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (Bachelor's preferred).2-5 years of experience in SCADA system maintenance and programming. Proficiency in PLC programming and HMI configuration.Familiarity with communication protocols such as Modbus, Ethernet, and fiber optics. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and in a team environment.Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally as needed.Experience in water/wastewater, oil & gas, or energy sectors.Knowledge of cybersecurity practices related to SCADA systems.Familiarity with telemetry systems and remote monitoring technologies.Job Details:Schedule: 14/14 or 7/7, 12 hours/dayPay: $50-$80/hour (W2)Location: Local to Anchorage, AK
