Group Exercise InstructorThe Group Exercise Instructor will lead members, in a group environment, through a pre-arranged format of exercises designed to enhance overall fitness, strength and endurance, while ensuring that the safety of the members is not compromised. The Group Exercise Instructor will also serve as a resource to educate members on various aspects of fitness.POSITION:Group Fitness Instructors will lead participants through pre-choreographed workouts between 45-55 minutes.RESPONSIBILITIES:Availability to teach a minimum of 1+ classes per week (classes are offered early mornings, midday, evenings, weekends, and holidays)Plan and prepare diligently before each class, including study of choreography and class planning prior to each classLearn full choreography changes on a quarterly basisAssist with keeping the studio tidyPhysical demands include, but are not limited to the ability to lift light weights, bending, squatting, jumping, running, reaching, walking, hopping, spinning and kicking.REQUIREMENTS:Enthusiastic, confident and outgoing personalityPassion for fitness, wellness, and helping othersAbility and desire to build client relationships through outstanding customer serviceActive lifestyle, already living a health-centered lifeDependable with a strong work ethic - natural willingness to go above and beyondConfidence to energetically command a room of 20 peopleMusicality - ability to keep rhythm and count to beat of musicBackground in dance, fitness, cheerleading or barre concept (ideal but not required)Instructors having a specialized skill such as Yoga, Pilates, Body Pump, Body Attack, etc. must provide verifiable proof of education.Ability to operate and troubleshoot audio equipmentCOMPENSATION & PERKS:Free membership to Gold's Gym Montrose while employed.
