In this role, you will take the lead in producing high-quality hair color and hair care products by mixing batches, operating equipment, and following established procedures and safety standards.This is a hands-on, production-focused role ideal for someone with prior compounding experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and takes pride in precision, safety, and product quality.You will report directly to the Production Manager.Key Responsibilities:Work Order ExecutionFollow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and batch card instructions to complete production accurately and efficientlyAllocate and assign raw materials to work orders using Sage X3 (WMS/ERP system)Pre-Weigh OperationsAccurately weigh raw materials required for productionOperate scales, pumps, and material handling equipment safelyEnsure all pre-weighing and chemical picking align with batch documentationRequest quarantined materials as neededComplete and track all inventory movements according to SOPsBatching & ProductionMix batches of hair color and hair care products following GMP and safety standardsSet up and sanitize equipment to ensure product quality and prevent contaminationDocument all standard and non-standard mixing processesTransfer finished products to holding tanksConnect and operate piping, pumps, and auxiliary equipment for production flowPerform sampling and testing of raw materials and finished batchesInventory ManagementStore raw materials safely in designated locationsMaintain accurate inventory transactions (physical and system-based)Ensure materials are available and production-readyReport spills or hazardous conditions immediatelyEnsure proper receiving and handling of incoming materialsHousekeeping & SafetyPerform in-process GMP checks, including cleaning and sanitizing equipmentMaintain a clean and organized manufacturing environmentWash pumps, drums, and utensils as requiredSafely collect and dispose of hazardous waste in designated areasWhat We’re Looking ForPrior compounding experience (required)Forklift operation experience (certification preferred)Strong attention to detail and accuracyTroubleshooting and problem-solving skillsAbility to work both independently and collaborativelyStrong time management and ability to meet production goalsFlexibility in a fast-paced environmentRequirementsAbility to wear required PPE, including protective clothing and fitted respiratorsMust follow OSHA and all safety regulationsBasic math skillsStrong communication skills with supervisors and team membersEducation & CertificationsHigh school diploma or GED preferredForklift certification preferredSupervisory ResponsibilitiesMay assist in training Compounder Trainees and Compounder Level I employees as neededPhysical RequirementsFrequent standing and walking for extended periodsRegular use of hands, reaching, and handling materialsOccasional bending, climbing, kneeling, and crouchingAbility to lift and/or move up to 75 poundsMust have good vision (close, distance, color, depth perception, and focus adjustment)Work EnvironmentExposure to fumes, airborne particles, and moving mechanical partsManufacturing setting with varying temperaturesNoise level may be moderate to loud
