Spanish-Language Content Reviewer for Democracy Organization
Democratism educates the public about ways to make government and other social systems more democratic. We are working to restore constitutional governance and create a fair, democratic election system.,We are looking for a volunteer to review, edit, and refine Spanish-language versions of our content, primarily for social media, in support of our effort to activate state and local governments to stop the authoritarian takeover.This role focuses on short-form content (approximately 2-3 posts per week to start, each across several platforms), with the possibility of expanding to other materials over time. Draft translations will typically be generated using machine tools and require careful human editing to ensure that the final Spanish reads clearly, naturally, and with the precision required for civic and legal subject matter.What you’ll doReview, edit, and rewrite Spanish translations of social media postsEnsure that all Spanish content reads as if originally written in Spanish, not translatedMaintain accuracy and clarity in civic and legal terminologyFlag any issues where meaning, tone, or precision may be lost in translationWhat we’re looking forNative-level command of written Spanish, with the ability to produce clear, natural, and polished prose suitable for public-facing contentStrong English comprehensionAbility to edit and refine translations so they read as original Spanish writingComfort with civic or legal language (e.g., constitutional rights, legislation)Attention to detail
