Software Engineer

*Job Summary: *Responsible for designing, developing, and supporting new and existing products. Approximately 95% of the role focuses on new development, with the remaining 5% dedicated to troubleshooting, bug fixes, and system support. *Essential Functions:* * Determine operational feasibility by analyzing requirements, defining problems, developing solutions, and assessing proposed designs * Design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality software solutions in accordance with established standards and best practices * Document and communicate technical solutions through clear code, code comments, documentation, diagrams, flowcharts, and system designs * Prepare and implement solutions by defining system specifications, standards, and programming requirements * Conduct systems analysis to improve operational efficiency and recommend enhancements to processes, policies, and procedures * Research, evaluate, test, and recommend third-party software and tools * Collect, analyze, and report software defects, performance issues, and system-related problems * Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to gather requirements, clarify objectives, and deliver effective solutions * Stay current with emerging technologies, development tools, and industry trends through ongoing learning and professional development * Contribute to team and organizational goals by completing related tasks and initiatives as needed * Follow the software development lifecycle and engineering best practices to deliver scalable, reliable, and maintainable solutions *Education and Experience:* * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related engineering discipline; and * Minimum of five years of hand-on experience in a professional software development environment; or * An equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrate the ability to perform the essential functions of the role *Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:* * *Must have strong proficiency in C# and ·ASP.NET * * *Must have strong proficiency in MySQL* * Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) * Experience with Microsoft SQL Server * Familiarity with Entity Framework * Familiarity with JSON and XML data formats * Understanding of Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) * Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) (EKS, ECS) * Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code * Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills *Physical Requirements* The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
