Job Title: Communications InternDepartment: CommunicationsReports To: Director of Media Service OperationsSummaryThe Communications Intern will support the Communications team with a wide range of departmental responsibilities. We are seeking a motivated, dependable and highly organized individual who demonstrates strong attention to detail and a strong work ethic. The ideal candidate is eager to gain hands-on experience in public relations and the sports industry while contributing in a fast-paced, professional environment.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Collect, organize and distribute daily clipsSet-up weekly press conferences Maintain media roomResponsible for transcription of weekly press conferencesTabulate team and individual statistics for various usesUpdate the Team’s online media website. Familiarity with OMG platform is a plusAssist media with interview requests Write content for Seahawks.comCoordinate and execute player/coach/staff interviewsDevelop and distribute weekly press releases and media packetsAssist in the coordination of credential printing and distributionAssist with gameday duties including press box set-up, in-game responsibilities and postgame press box obligationsAssist local, visiting and broadcast teams on gamedayCoordinate and execute post-game interviews and transcriptionsWilling to help staff with occasional evening and weekend PR eventsEDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
