If you have any questions, please email employeeengagement@naphcare.comThis posting is open exclusively to current AL DOC incumbent employees.NaphCare is hiring an experienced and motivated Health Services Administrator (HSA) to join our team of medical professionals in the Limestone Correctional Facility in Harvest, AL.As the Health Services Administrator (HSA) for NaphCare, you will work alongside correctional officers and other medical professionals to directs the business and operational side of the medical units within the facility(s), ensuring the medical operations are well managed and staff are meeting NaphCare policies, guidelines, and expectations.ResponsibilitiesThe Health Services Administrator (HSA) is responsible for financial management, compliance with regulations, staff supervision, and optimizing patient care to ensure our patients in residence receive quality care that protects their rights, dignity and health. Additional duties and responsibilities may include and are not limited to:Providing daily oversight of clinical operations with the medical, mental health, dental and allied health services for the residentsMaking clinical rounds, managing nursing services, ensure nursing staff are responsive to patients in our careSupervising, coaching, and troubleshooting with staff to support the team and create a cohesive work environmentHiring, training, scheduling, and evaluating staff, including nurses and administrative personnel.Performing administrative duties such as scheduling, record-keeping, budgets, financial reports, planning, forecasting and developing corrective action plans to ensure contractual obligations are metAssuring clinical quality standards and expectations are set and monitored through a clinical performance and review processFacilitating staff training and development activities including coordinating in-service training for jail staffMonitoring and ensuring compliance with National Commission on Correctional Health Care (NCCHC) standards, Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA) standards, regulatory requirements, and legally mandated training requirements for nursing servicesQualificationsEducation / Licenses / Certifications / RequirementsHolds a current, unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse within ALBe able to obtain BLS CPR Certification (AHA preferred)Two years' experience in health services administration related to comprehensive medical, dental, and mental healthcare services within a correctional health care or acute care settingAbility to manage budgets, analyze contracts, managing complex staffing matrices between medical and mental health teamsProficiency in medical software, EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems, and financial software.Excellent communication skills with proven experience leading, managing, and coaching medical staff through complex Human Resource issues and challengesKnowledge of nursing practice principles and techniques, occupational health and safety standards, infectious disease management, applicable health care laws, regulations, and procedures for direct health care servicesAbility to interact effectively with patients from diverse backgrounds, including those with mental health or substance abuse issuesMust have the ability to maintain confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information and integrity, professionalism and ability to adhere to a Code of Conduct and comply with all facility(s) correctional healthcare policies, procedures, and legal requirementsMust pass the facility's criminal background check and drug screeningPhysical Capabilities:Must have the ability to stand for long periods, lift and move patients (up to 50 pounds), bend, squat, reach, push, pull, walk significant distances, and perform physically demanding tasks like CPR, all while maintaining good balance and endurance throughout a shift.Why Join NaphCare?NaphCare is one of the largest providers of healthcare services to correctional facilities throughout the U.S., and we are growing.
