Mid-Level System Engineer

This position is part of a contractor-led team working collaboratively on sustainment and eventual transition and decommission of the application. The individual is expected to collaborate closely with the team and lead efforts for issue tracking, including managing the JIRA instance. The individual is also expected to learn the system to understand how the data is being used by stakeholders. They must be willing to work with the customer to capture and define requirements. Contribute to system engineering documentation and assisting with system requirements.Candidates should have the following qualifications: TS/SCI Clearance with polygraphTS/SCI with PolygraphA bachelor’s degree and fourteen (14) years' experience as an SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. Nineteen (19) years of experience as an SE may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree. Experience assisting with the development of system requirementsWillingness to learn new technologies. Experience closely collaborating and communicating with the customerExperience developing and updating technical documentationExperience with requirements management to include working with customers to capture clear definition of doneCandidates are required to have the following skills:Collaborate with the customer to develop and refine requirements. Meet frequently with data providers and data consumersConduct ""source finding"" activities to determine the original source of data products within the warehouseDevelop high-level architecture and engineering diagrams depicting functional components of the systemAssist with production system monitoringCollect, analyze, and present system usage metricsGenerate documentation encompassing system description, contingency plans, and Interface Control Document (ICD) content to fulfill Transition and Decommission policies.
