Description:Job Title:Class A CDL Driver Reports To:Production Supervisor Exemption Status:Non-ExemptNormal Shift / Working Hours:6:00 AM3:00 PM, Monday thru Friday. Overtime and weekends will be required as deemed necessary by departmental needs.Job Summary:We are seeking a dependable and organized Class A truck driver who can consistently ensure safe and accurate deliveries. You must be detail-oriented, efficient, and have a clean driving record.Duties / Responsibilities: Fullyunderstand how to operate and safely drive your assigned delivery vehicle Drivetrucks with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) over 26,000 lbs. Transportgoods from place of origin to assigned destination Pick-uploads and organize goods in an ordered, logical manner Ensurecontents are properly secured inside of truck to prevent breakage ordamage Obtainsignatures to confirm and complete deliveries with clients Stay onpredetermined route and ensure timely deliveries Communicatewith dispatch as needed Confirmcontents of each shipment load matches the manifest document Performinspections of your vehicle prior to and following each trip Alwaysensure your vehicle is kept clean Notifymanagers of any major maintenance or delivery issues encountered Followdelivery schedule and rest at appropriate times Maintaindetailed driving and delivery logs Track andreport working hours Adhere tocompany rules and regulations Obey allapplicable traffic laws and drive according to the weather/road conditions Comply withICC and DOT regulations Make safetya priority at all times Required Skills and Qualifications High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred Valid Class A drivers license required 2+ years proven experience with tractor-trailer driving preferred Clean driving record with no moving violations Must pass background check and drug test Skilled at driving large vehicles Comfortable maneuvering and parking a tractor-trailer Alert, focused, and detail-oriented Physically and mentally fit Proficient using GPS and other routing systems Disciplined, dependable, and resourceful Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules andregulations. Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions on job site. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Hours of work are Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., 40 hours per week, with overtime, based on your schedule for the week.Required Education and Experience Valid Class A Commercial Drivers License Pass pre-employment drug screen. Proven work experience as a Class A CDL driver.
