Cloud Engineer (Machine Learning)Location: Durham North Carolina, Remote till CovidDuration: 12+ monthsCloud Engineer - Senior Machine Learning Engineer (Cloud Engineer and a little bit of exposure to Machine Learning)What are the top MUST have skills:Having worked with AWS services (S3, EC2, RDS)Java mid-tier dev (spring/boot)Some exposure to machine learning, model deployment (data science dev life cycle model experience)Specifically enhancing API's being developed on these search engines and migrating to the cloud6- 8 years of work experience (2-3 years is cloud is ideal)The Expertise and Skills You Bring:Proven experience (6+ years) as Full Stack Engineer working in N-Tier software applications like frontend (angular, react, etc.), services (REST APIs microservices – Java 8+, spring boot, node js, etc.), event driven (Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.) and batch processing (spring batch, Apache airflow, etc.) architecture patterns.At least 3 years of hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure (S3, CFTs, EC2), security and data and AI pipeline technologies (RDS/Postgres, Snowflake, Airflow)Strong object-oriented design skills (OOPS) and experience with system design/architectureExposure to CI/CD (Jenkins, Artifactory, etc.), Docker/Containers, Helm charts and KubernetesExperience with search engine platforms like Apache Lucene, Apache Solr/Elasticsearch would be a big plusExposure to Machine Learning and model development lifecycle is highly preferred.
