This is an on-site leadership role based at the Charlotte Customer Distribution Center (CDC).In this role, you will oversee a team responsible for managing transportation operations, ensuring shipments move efficiently while meeting service expectations and cost objectives. You will play a critical role in driving operational excellence, maintaining process consistency, and leading continuous improvement initiatives.Success in this position requires strong leadership, the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. You'll collaborate closely with internal teams, customer stakeholders, and external partners to deliver high-quality transportation solutions.This is an ideal opportunity for a leader who is passionate about developing people, optimizing logistics operations, and supporting a complex, high-impact customer.What You'll DoLead day-to-day team operations supporting the Eaton account, ensuring service and performance expectations are consistently metManage, coach, and develop direct reports through regular 1:1s, performance feedback, and career development conversationsMonitor team performance and hold team members accountable to KPIs, SLAs, and standard work processesProactively identify and resolve issues related to service, cost, process, and efficiencyLead conflict resolution and complex problem-solving across internal and external stakeholdersDrive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational performance, information flows and customer satisfactionDevelop and deliver customer-facing and internal performance reportsBuild and maintain strong relationships with customer stakeholders, carriers, and cross-functional teamsApply expertise in transportation operations, including modes, rates, and customer-specific requirementsBasic Qualifications (Required)High school diploma or GED equivalentAt least 3 years experience in logistics and/or warehousingAt least 1 year of people management experienceStrong communication skillsProficiency in Google Workspace and/or Microsoft Office SuiteTechnical proficiencyPreferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related fieldExperience in manufacturing or industrial logistics environmentsKnowledge of international shipping processesExperience with expedited shipping (air and over-the-road)Familiarity with cross dock operationsAdvanced proficiency in Google Workspace and/or Microsoft Office SuiteStrong leadership presence with a track record of building high-performing teamsBenefits & Compensation for U.S. EmployeesEmployees working more than 30 hours in the US at Uber Freight are eligible for benefits like a company sponsored health plan, dental and vision benefits, 401k match, financial and mental wellness benefits, parental leave, short- and long-term disability coverage, life insurance and more.
