I am looking for a Knowledge Expert in Physics for Meta.This is an 18 week contract.DescriptionOverview:Join Meta's cutting-edge GenAI team and help build foundational AI models from the ground up. We are looking for talented Physics subject matter experts (SMEs) to bring deep domain expertise and elevate the quality of our AI training data. This is a remote, flexible opportunity to collaborate directly with Meta's AI research teams.What You'll Do:Domain Expertise Advisory: Guide research teams to close knowledge gaps and improve AI model performance, focused on your specialty field; collaborate with other subject matter experts to ensure consistency and accuracy in training dataGuideline Development: Create, edit, and maintain high-quality annotation guidelines tailored to your area of expertise. Ensure that these guidelines are up-to-date, clear, and concise to enable vendors to deliver accurate annotations. As a domain SME, you'll set the gold standard for quality and rigor.Quality Assurance: Evaluate and grade the quality of annotations produced by vendors for SFT (Supervised Fine Tuning) and RLHF (Reinforcement Learning from Human Feedback) annotations. Identify areas of improvement and provide feedback to optimize the quality of annotations.Data Annotation: Directly annotate data for key tasks when necessary, including writing SFT responses and judging output quality for RLHF.What Would Make You A Great Fit:Education: A Master's or Ph.D. degree in a relevant field related to PhysicsExperience: A minimum of 3 years professional experience in Physics. Experience teaching advanced concepts (e.g., TAing advanced courses), demonstrating ability to distill and relay complex problems in logical, step-by-step thinking preferred.Deep Knowledge: Demonstrated deep understanding and expertise in Physics.Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey complex ideas and guidance to internal teams and external vendors.Analytical Skills: Exceptional analytical abilities to identify trends, evaluate annotation quality, and provide actionable feedback.Collaboration: Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external partners to achieve shared goals.Adaptability: Flexibility and willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes in a rapidly evolving environment.What We Offer:Flexible, remote work that will have a significant impact on the development of advanced AI models.Initial commitment of 18 weeks, with potential to extend based on project needs and performance.Minimum availability of ~20 hrs/week.
