Principal Electronics Engineer

Hunter Industries is seeking a Principal Electronics Engineer. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop irrigation control, lighting, and other products while providing technical leadership and guidance to fellow engineers.What You'll Do:Perform senior level design, development and management of multiple products and projects.Review product design for compliance with engineering principles. Create, implement, and verify company standards and specifications for product verification.Prepare gate deliverable documents in support of our phase-gate development process. These may include technical requirement documents, cost estimates and project schedules for multiple present and future product development projects.Evaluate products on an on-going basis and develop, justify, and implement product changes to reduce cost, increase reliability, etc.Provide technical support directly to Marketing, Sales, Materials, Tech Services and Contract Manufacturing Departments.Supervise and coordinate other engineers and team members assigned to projects.Education:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required.Experience Required:15+ years of experience in product development, design and verification.What You Bring:Excellent knowledge of digital and analog electronics design, analysis, schematic capture, PCB lay-out, and embedded firmware.Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, and the ability to interact with members across the organization.Knowledge of software structures, coding techniques and standards and organization of small to moderate size programs.Ability to take a leadership role in the development process and to motivate team members.Must be familiar with development tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and emulators.Must be familiar with configuration control, test procedure development and product development cycle, and be able to use this knowledge to develop company standards.Ability to create documents, including Bills of Materials, test procedures, and design notes.Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.Occasional travel to field sites to meet with customers.What We Offer:Amazing corporate culture - we walk the walk when it comes to our values!Beautiful 20 acre park like campus with creek and walking trailsOn site wellness center with personal training, fitness classes and massageFUN company events!Company donation matching and volunteer rewardsCareer development opportunities and profit sharing bonusFollow us on LinkedIn, check out our rave reviews on Glassdoor, and learn more about our company culture on our career site: http://corporate.hunterindustries.com/careersHunter is a global leader in the irrigation, outdoor lighting, dispensing technology, and custom manufacturing industries. The above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition.
