Electrical Engineer - Power Electronics

The role This role is for a venture-backed hardware startup in San Francisco building high-performance power conversion systems. The bet is that the power stage is the bottleneck in modern electrified machines. The hire is a hands-on electrical engineer supporting product development across those systems. It's a broad role, not a narrow specialist seat. You'll move between schematics, PCB reviews, harnesses, test setups, lab debugging, documentation, vendors, and production support. Deep specialization matters less than sound engineering judgment, curiosity, and the ability to get hardware working. The bar is high. The ideal person takes ownership and executes, and when they hit a wall they go find the way through it. What you'll do Run complex power electronics simulations Perform parasitic PCB extraction Design and bring up production hardware Design and bring up manufacturing line hardware Debug real hardware problems: EMI, grounding, thermal, manufacturing defects Must-haves Moderate experience designing electronics Ability to learn on the fly Resilience Pay: $106,096.36 - $170,771.96 per year Work Location: In person
