Provide professional, high-level unarmed security services for the personnel, visitors, and property of various buildings within the Pasadena, CA area.PAY TRANSPARENCY/COMPENSATIONRate of Pay: $31/hrPaid training at full hourly rateRESPONSIBILITIESProvide security for various buildings by conducting perimeter security, internal security, threat monitoring , etc.Protect personnel and property in a professional mannerMeet and deal tactfully and politely with general public and visitorsEffectively and efficiently screen and process visitors as requiredIdentify, report, delay or detain persons who violate rules and regulationsConduct internal and external roving vehicle, bicycle, and/or foot patrolsTraffic control as necessaryDetect and respond to alarms and emergenciesSecure entrances and exits during emergenciesControl keys and lock combinationsCommunicate and remain accessible via two-way radio or company issued cellular phoneUnderstand and comply with all requirements, plans, policies, procedures.Observe and report all offenses/incidents including suspicious activityComplete all reports and paperwork as requiredProvide first aid, CPR, and assist during emergencies as necessary.Maintain mandated training requirements in accordance with state and company guidance.Ensure safety requirements compliance and safe work practices.Support safety programs participate in Quality and Process Improvement programs.Perform other duties as assigned.Regular, in-person attendance is required.Work is typically based in and around a busy multi-building environment subject to frequent interruptions.QualificationsMust meet one (1) of the below experience requirements.Prior Law Enforcement Officer graduated from official Law Enforcement Academy ORPrior military with honorable discharge at a rank of E4 or above ORFour (4) years of licensed armed security officer experience (Less Than Lethal acceptable), with demonstrated advanced training in security skill sets and proficiencies and a security vendor service record free of adverse actions ORFive (5) years unarmed experience, and (2) years armed experience, and/or (2) years honorable military service with honorable discharge ANDMust posses an active BSIS Guard LicenseMust posses an OC CertificationMust possess a minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent from a U.S. Accredited School. Foreign education must be evaluated to meet U.S. education requirementsMust be a US Citizen with social security cardCurrent Driver's LicenseCurrent CPR/AED/1st Aid CertificationMust meet all medical, physical, drug test standardsMust be able to pass psychological assessment.Successful completion of Training and certification.May be required to lift and carry awkward items weighing up to 50 lbs.Requires intermittent running, continuous and prolonged standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching and bending without the aid of any walking assistance device.Must be physically capable of riding a bicycle and/or operating a motor vehicle throughout the course of a workday.May be subject to outdoor conditions including extreme temperatures and weather.Equal Opportunity Employer
