The successful candidate will be a trusted strategic partner and organizational leader, advising on legal and regulatory issues, risk management, and governance. This role involves overseeing the Legal Department, managing outside counsel, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality legal services in areas such as contracts, employment, labor relations, and fundraising. The General Counsel will also be responsible for leading and managing the legal team, and for maintaining the organization's commitment to non-violence and grassroots pressure as a guiding principle.
