Interventional Radiographer - Full Time -Days (4 Days a week - 7:00 - 17:00)

Job SummaryUnder the direction of the Vascular Center Coordinator, the Interventional Radiographer performs a variety of imaging procedures and is responsible for patient safety protocols.  Functions as the first line interface with patients in the successful accomplishment of their imaging needs.  Participates in CQI activities.Core Job ResponsibilitiesDemonstrates knowledge and proper operation of angiographic equipment including proper selection of technical factors, proper identification of radiographic images, proper programming of equipment, and proper processing of radiographic images for permanent storageResponsible for reporting malfunctioning radiographic equipment and facilitating prompt repair as appropriatePositions and prepares patients for angiography procedures including shielding, aseptic preparation and appropriate draping for various proceduresDemonstrates knowledge and properly prepares appropriate equipment for use in interventional radiology procedures.Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors.
