Visa sponsorship is not availableThis position is for SY- 2026-2027SUMMARY:Provide occupational therapy as a related service to students requiring these services through their IEPs. Provide screenings and evaluations as requested and participate as a member of the IEP team to design appropriate educational services for eligible students.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Occupational therapy to identified students as specified by their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs). The therapist will be responsible for scheduling therapy times and will be reasonably available to attend and/ or provide written input to IEP team meetings as requested.Services provided as a member of the IEP team will include: Review of existing diagnostic evaluations, conferences with parents and staff, preparation of proposed occupational therapy goals for each student who is determined to be eligible for services and implementation of those goals which are approved by the IEP team, written reports of student progress at regular intervals as determined by the IEP team, and maintain annual log of services performed which may be requested at any time by the Coordinator of Student Services for audit purposes.Based on student need, the following services may also be required: In-service for staff and parents, development of a home program, and pre-referral screenings.Motor evaluations to establish special education related service need at the request of the Coordinator of Student Services or designee which would include the following: Review of the referral information and any existing diagnostic evaluations, administration, scoring, and interpretation of appropriate testing instruments, written report of motor evaluation submitted to Coordinator of Student Services within two weeks of the test date, follow all state and federal regulations regarding the delivery of special education and related services in New Mexico schools and follow all district policies and rules while delivering services within the school (including documentation of criminal background check).Qualification Requirements:* Must possess an active NM Occupational Therapy Board License and NMPED LicenseEducation and Experience:* Experience and/or training in occupational therapy to support school-related needsOther skills and Abilities: N/ALicense Status: Licensed/ContractFLSA Status: ExemptSalary Schedule: Related Services Salary1.00 FTE- 8 hour shift, 40 hour week188 work contract
