DivisionConanicut Marina PositionMarina Maintenance Manager DescriptionPosition Overview: Reporting to the General Manager, the Marina Maintenance Manager position is responsible for performing a variety of tasks involving all aspects of Facility & Marina General Maintenance including electrical, plumbing, equipment and dock PM's and proper boatmanship. Responsibilities:Dock building/repair/basic carpentry requiredBasic plumbing and/or electrical skills are a plusWillingness to do daily travel to various local marinasWillingness to work weekends in the summer monthsMaintains the marina readiness throughout the season including spring launch and fall close.Water bubblers installation and removal.Turn on/off and blowout of water systems.Launches and retrieves marina workboat as needed to remove river debris and install or retrieve no wake buoys.Perform all General Maintenance & Inspection in the following areas; Plumbing -Piping and water valve installation and repairsElectrical - Knowledge of 120/240 vac, single phase services. • To replace/switch 30/50 amp receptacles and circuit breakers.Painting - Marina owned equipmentInspection, Cleaning and Repairs - As needed to support the marina throughout the boating seasonFollow all safety guidelines and work in a safe & efficient manner ensuring the operation and cleanliness of the marina.Develops and maintains effective, friendly, professional working relationships with staff, members, guests and vendors.Records and documents all maintenance activities.Carry out all duties and responsibilities assigned by the General Manager or other members of the leadership team Required Skills & Abilities:High school diploma or equivalent preferredPrevious marina experience preferredAbility to work with limited supervision and work safely around water.Competent computer skills set, and familiarity with the basic operations of Excel and Google Drive.Basic boat handling and trailer driving skills preferredKnowledge and use of basic power tools preferredEvening, weekend and holiday availability required.Strong organization and communication skills.Ability to work on a team and independently.Ability to move into and out of small spaces that may require crouching, kneeling or crawlingAbility to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. Able to stand for extended periods and occasionally kneel, stoop, bend and twist in tight areas. Comfortability with ladders and confined spaces is required. Ability to work in the elements regularly.All candidates must be ready, willing, and able to work a fully flexible work schedule that may include days, nights, weekends and holidays to meet the fluctuating business demands.Every job applicant must submit to a comprehensive background check.
