Position: Construction Safety ManagerReports to: Head of SafetyLocation: Fort Wayne, INPay Range: $41.00 - $57.00 per hour (Eligible for overtime)We consider several factors when preparing a compensation package for successful candidates. We also offer financial support for mid- and senior-level candidates who require relocation assistance.Superior is looking for a Construction Safety Manager to ensure that every team member on our jobsites is safe and secure. This position will maintain safe conditions for people and property, investigate and prevent accidents, analyze risks, and handle emergency response. This role is based on a jobsite in Fort Wayne, Indiana.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and motivate a team of safety professionals on our jobsite, finding ways to help each grow and succeedCollaborate across the jobsite with Field Operations and Project Operations team members, as well as the General Contractor and other trade partnersConduct various jobsite trainings for team members, and ensure that all training records are logged and maintainedInvestigate and document all injuries, incidents, and near misses; identify the root cause(s); and implement corrective actionsEvaluate and ensure proper procedures for crane lifts, excavations, electrical, and other high-risk activitiesMaintain daily reports describing activities completed, critical conversations, issues, and other relevant itemsYour Character TraitsYou're passionate about all-things safetyYou have a strong attention to detailYou have excellent communication and interpersonal skillsYou're a natural at conflict resolution and are calm under pressureYou're able to exercise confidentiality and discretion when dealing with sensitive informationYour ExpertiseRequired: You have at least 5 years of experience as a safety professional in the construction industryRequired: You have certification in First Aid/CPRRequired: You have completed the OSHA 500 or OSHA 510 Occupational Safety and Health Standards course for the Construction IndustryRequired: You have completed an OSHA 30-hour construction training courseRequired: You have your CHST certification or are willing/eligible to sit for itBonus Points: You are an Associate Safety Professional (ASP) or a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) recognized by the Board of Certified Safety ProfessionalsBonus Points: You have experience in electrical constructionOur BenefitsWe offer a range of professional and personal perks that you can enjoy as a member of Superior.
