The Assistant Controller will play a key leadership role within the accounting team, with primary responsibility for leading the monthly and year end financial close process, cost and inventory accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the monthly, quarterly, and year end financial close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reportingOversee general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet supportLead cost accounting, including inventory valuation, COGS analysis, production costs, standard versus actual cost analysis, and inventory reconciliationsManage and improve inventory accounting processes and controlsLead internal audit activities and strengthen accounting policies, procedures, and internal controlsSupport external audits and coordinate audit requests and documentationReview financial results, investigate variances, and identify accounting or operational issues requiring management attentionSupport budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysisEnsure compliance with GAAP and applicable accounting standardsIdentify opportunities to improve accounting processes, systems, reporting, and financial controlsPartner with the CFO and operational leadership to provide financial insights and support business decision makingThe ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting experience with demonstrated ownership of the financial close process. Experience with cost accounting, inventory accounting, manufacturing or distribution environments, ERP systems, and multi entity accounting is strongly preferred. The position requires someone who is hands on, detail oriented, comfortable improving processes, and capable of taking ownership of key accounting functions in a growing organization.Salary range: $120K - $130K On-site roleNo recruiters
