Who You are… You’ve led restaurant and/or coffee shop operations within a fast-moving, high-growth, high-standards environment, preferably with at least 1 years experience in a manager or supervisory role. You have a "lead from the front" approach and are a hands-on leader. You are passionate about service and hospitality with a desire to connect with guests to help make their day extraordinary. You have a sense of ownership that identifies pain points in operations, steps in to fill voids and build infrastructure for future success and stability. You're a resourceful, self-motivated leader who’s comfortable navigating ambiguity and carving a new path with minimal direction. You have demonstrated success building a high-expectation service program in the food & beverage and/or hospitality industry. You’re able to adapt dynamically to shifting internal and external conditions. You have strong leadership acumen that you use to align culture and standards initiatives with the company’s overall strategic direction. You develop and empower pipeline talent. You have excellent emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships with team members and community members. You’re a true team player who can set your ego aside and find win-for-all solutions. You can anticipate future trends, evaluate historical data, and adjust accordingly. You have an appreciation for and commitment to the outdoors, sustainability, and your own personal growth. What You’ll Do… Act as a strategic partner to the restaurant’s F&B Department, working closely with the Culinary Leader and Food & Beverage Director to realize the company’s vision, mission, and goals. Develop, implement, and iterate on programs and initiatives aimed at culture-building, employee training and development, service standards, menu creation, expense and cost management, all with an eye toward affirming the company’s cultural and fiscal successes as well as the value of its member experience. Manage an annual departmental budget. Own financial performance of the outlet, including Unravel and being an active driver of marketing, sales, events and promotions. Run daily pre-shift meetings with staff to communicate training topics, member events, service tips and people announcements. Build and manage team schedules Coach and discipline team members as needed Post jobs, interview and hire Ensure each new team member has a training plan and appropriately is set up for success Attend weekly property management meetings to represent your department and obtain critical information. Answer phones and emails throughout the shift to ensure guest inquiries and reservations are fielded in a timely manner. Ensure all Members are identified upon their initial interaction (and noted in OpenTable when applicable) and recognized as members by a special touch. Provide constant coaching and feedback to the team to improve the operation Manage costs and invoices promptly and with a high attention to detail for the restaurant and Unravel Run sales numbers daily to collaborate with Chef, F&B Director, and Beverage Manager on best and worst sellers. Address worst sellers. Attend weekly financial strategy meeting for the restaurant Ensure all employees are paid correctly by closely monitoring missed punches, holiday pay and OT/Training pay Ensure monthly beverage and Unravel inventory is performed on the last day of the month, each month Along with the Private Events Manager, build, plan, and execute Private Events in the dining room, member lounge, and other ancillary spaces within the property. Collaborate with the events team to create, plan, and host member and community events for our Vail and GH-wide community. Engage with Chef and Beverage Manager on a constant basis for menu creation and development. Grow and lead the Food & Beverage team to support the company’s needs over time. Education and Experience… Minimum 1 years experience in a supervisory or management role Bachelor's Degree Preferred Physical Requirements… Ability to stand for long periods of time Ability to work at a computer Ability to lift up to 50 pounds What We Can Offer You...
