Field Service Spares Engineer

Technical Spare Parts SpecialistOur client is seeking a Technical Spare Parts Specialist to support technical spare parts identification, design, documentation, and customer support. This role will work closely with engineering, manufacturing, sales, purchasing, quality, service teams, and customers to ensure accurate part identification, technical recommendations, and support for parts and services needs.Responsibilities:Identify parts from assemblies, multi-drawings, and technical documentationCreate, adapt, and revise 2D/3D models and drawingsDefine tolerances and specifications in alignment with standards under guidanceSupport the creation of Material Masters for identified partsPrepare maintenance kits, BOMs, and technical recommendationsSupport the cost department and sales teams with technical arguments and documentationConduct customer site visits for equipment inspections and technical recommendationsAssist customers with detailed explanations of requested partsCommunicate directly with customers regarding spare parts requestsApply knowledge of part life cycle and equipment processesDetermine the best source for purchased and manufactured parts using local and international suppliersSupport warranty investigations, vendors, and workshop teams with inputs and documentationParticipate in continuous improvement of processes, standards, and customer satisfactionTravel up to 20% for customer visits and production floor workRequired Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering field, or proven technical experience in spare parts or a related industryPrevious knowledge of paper machines or paper production processesExperience with technical drawing interpretationExperience with CAD softwareStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsHands-on experience in technical environmentsAbility to work independently and collaborate cross-functionallyStrong communication skills with technical and non-technical audiencesPreferred Qualifications:Previous experience in parts and servicesPaper industry experienceExperience with SAPExperience with documentation systemsCompany Benefits & Culture:This is a full-time, direct hire opportunity with the client.
